The Pokémon world is exactly what you’d expect; a world divided into regions with each their own customs, cultures, and traditions.
For unknown reasons, certain areas in the world are prone to spontaneous manifestation of Mystery Dungeons, filled with loot, potential allies, but most of all danger. Certain regions have higher concentrations of Mystery Dungeons than others; though this may simply be due to those regions being mapped better than others.
Many Pokémon have banded together in Guilds to aid those who need help. Guilds consist of adventurous Pokémon not afraid of danger if it means they can help keep Pokémon safe.
Several calendars are still in use around the world, however most Pokémon are at minimum aware of the Interregional Standard Calendar. Some underwater civilizations follow Annuls Kyambrie, for example.
The Interregional Standard Calendar follows a fifteen-month year. One month at the summer solstice is but seven days long, and one month at the winter solstice is, too. All other months have twenty-seven days. When needed, one extra day is added to the last month of the year, known as Giratina’s Day. Weeks are seven days, and days are twenty-four hours long.
Main article: Alo’lola
A tropical region composed of several islands. Alo’lolan Pokémon have very distinct customs; they worship the four Tapus (Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu and Tapu Fini) alongside the Celestials (Solgaleo, Lunala, and on occasion Necrozma). Alo’lola is a popular vacation and/or retirement destination due to its warm, sunny climate.
Main article: Atransei
An island off the coast of Hisinoh, shaped peculiarly like the One Above All. Pokémon from Atransei are often trained in some manner of weaponry.
Main article: Cabodea
A region that lies remarkably close to Lumalos. A large crater lies at the center, and Pokémon have mentioned seeing some strange things in there. It is rumored that the Winged King and the Iron Serpent may have origins from this region.

Hasorem is a semi-tropical region comprised mostly of water, with a desert near its center. Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza are especially venerated here.
Main article: Hisinoh
A northern region that’s partially covered in snow at all times. It is said that Heatran’s heart warms the region to keep it habitable. The mountain at its center was once a location of worship for the Firstborn Three (Palkia, Dialga and Giratina) and the One Above.
Main article: Hismiya
An island just off the coast of Hisinoh. Its Rangers take on a role similar to, but not identical to our Peacekeepers.

Main article: Region.Kareblye
A fairly traditional region that mostly keeps to itself. Many Pokémon, even those not actually born in Kareblye, consider Kareblye the best region for some reason. Shares a border with Krysivgo.
Main article: Korakita
A small region sort of near Cabodea.
Main article: Krysivgo
A traditional region that sees a little more cultural exchange, but is constantly overshadowed by Kareblye to its west. Krysivgoan Pokémon tend to follow Ho-Oh and Lugia’s teachings.
Main article: Lentclic
A region consisting of several islands with stunning vistas. It prides itself on its national park, beautiful beaches and underwater tours. One of its islands has an area of perpetual fog, which appears to warp time somewhat.
Main article: Lumalos
A modern region that sees lots of tourism. Unfortunately, Pokémon that come to see its capital may be surprised to find that the media flourishes it up a little. The Gods of the Natural Order (Xerneas, Yveltal and Zygarde) are especially venerated here, and Zygarde Themselves hold land in this region.
Main article: Orhode
A desert region, with sparse settlements. Travel is rare and usually involves the local Gligar as a guide, as crime runs rampant. Despite its dry appearances, Lugia has a history of being venerated here.
